Online shoes: Pair 1

I've bought a couple of pairs of shoes online, especially on the Aldo website. Their sales are awesome! Half the price of the Aldo store here. Best buy! I bought 4 pairs online recently and this is the first of the 4 pairs to arrive. Got it for 35 buckaroos, not bad right? Especially since the dollar is pretty cheap. It's not as comfy as another pair of Aldo wedges I have but it's walkable nonetheless. Super timely because I'm going to need the height and so called "slimming effect" of these shoes especially since its the holidays, ugh!

My early Christmas gifts... hohoho...

I have a Christmas wish I've jotted down in my head...These are 2 the things I've managed to cross out from my list - my Marc Jacobs fuchsia pouch and a DKNY shopper bag. Santa came early care of TJ (my Tita JimJam), thanks for the Marc Jacobs pouch I've been eyeing. This pouch went through a lot to get to me, hidden in bushes in a friend's house in Palo Alto at that. Second Santa was my favorite fiancee-fiance Martina and Ryan, thank you for buying the bag in Singapore and possibly hand carrying it home. 2 down...but a lot to go!

My attempt at TRX

TRX stands for Total Body Resistance Exercise. At first glance it seems simple enough, but don't let looks deceive you. The U.S. Navy designed this training tool for its special Sea, Air and Land (SEAL) forces while they were deployed for extended periods. The elite teams needed something portable and highly effective to maintain their fitness levels in the field. If it worked for the the Marines, it's worth a shot right?

I do my TRX classes with Reema Chanco, she's pretty cool. (The first pic is a pic of the TRX room in her place in San Miguel village) I've gone thrice and so far, I'm lovin' it. It's challenging and mind you the day after my first class I felt like a bulldozer ran over me. In a good way though! It's carrying your own body weight so in my case, that's a lot. (And I hope that means it'll be effective). It's also not boring because there are a gazillion different exercises that can be done. I highly recommend it its an entertaining class and it makes the one hour go by real quick.

My first "expensive" bag

I'm a cheap shopper, I don't own anything Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada or anything even remotely close... except for my first "expensive" bag. Do take not of the quotation marks though, expensive is relative. I got this Furla Leopard Shopper bag as a "prize" if I may call it that. Love how you can dump everything in it!

Halloween: My Skull Obsession

. '
Since it's halloween I think its quite appropro to post my skull obsession. I have this obsession with anything skull, skul-ly or skull-ish. Even my son's sling was pink with black skulls. Some may say its so last season but I'd beg to disagree and Alexnader Mcqueen has certianly vindicated me. He has got an exotic collection of everything skull! Here are my favorite skull stuff, most by AM except the leather thong sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti and a Daisy Knights ring.

Bazaar Finds #1

It's the BER-months and that just means bazaar season has finally arrived! Woohoo! I LOVE bazaars, they're the best place to get cool cheap stuff. Does it get any better than that?

I've only been to the Karl Edwards bazaar in Fort though..,.and my first bazaar find is oversized shirt meant to look like a boys tee. My attempt ala Gwen Stefani. All for P250 bucks! =)

Tick Wedges

Outblush is one of the neat sites I check out once in awhile, and when I say neat I came across this neat pair of wedges. How can you not love these Jeffrey Campbell Tick wedges with the silver studdy balls on the heel. Or are they called "ticks"?

My newest wrist candy

I've been on the hunt for a gold men's watch for the longest time. Nothing fancy nor branded, just a solid gold big-faced watch. While surfing through www.overstock.com I came across this watch, a Swiss Legend Men's Commander Yellow Gold White Dial Chronograph Watch. Not exactly my supposed "all gold" watch but snazzy nonetheless, especially for $97. Can the shipping please hurry up!!

Alicia Keys: Hot and Not

Spotted in the InStyle website in the BET Awards: Check out how HOT Alicia Keys looks in the white Grecian dress...then look how NOT she does in the short violet number. That above-the-knee dress just emphasized her thunder thighs not to mention the awful stockings that went with it! Major difference accentuating the right body part makes, huh?

Not my cup of shoe

There are a ton of to-die-for pairs of shoes out there, but then again there are those that, um, aren't my cup of shoe...

Relaxed, so to speak...

For a mere $8,700 buckaroos you can get the laid back look totting the Relaxed Hermes Kelly bag. The French brand made it look slouchier, put a longer handle and... viola... cough up 8,700 bucks please. C'est chic!

"I am no longer in Kansas"

I succumbed to these gold glitter pumps I came across in Anthem in the Power Plant Mall. It was being sold as another version of Carrie's gold pumps in SATC2. Although I'd like to think these are my version of Dorothy's ruby slippers in Wizard of Oz (one of my favorite movies). All I gotta do is click my heels and I am no longer in Kansas...*click click*

Before I forget the Sex...

I know, I know, the Sex and the City novelty has worn off... Although who says it's too late to post my favorite looks in the movie?! Hands down I gotta say, Miranda bagged the best dressed award in the second serving of the TV-turned-movie series.
I personally like the mustard asymmetrical dress at the beginning because it's such a "me" dress, something I'd actually wear. But I love love love the dress she wore to the gay wedding. So not her, but stunning nonetheless. I'd have to say, hands down, Miranda won my case!

Winged

Pretty snazzy Vivienne Westwood-Melissa collaboration. Now who says you can't walk on air?! For $174, the shoe features a 3 inch geisha-like platform, wings on each side, and a glossy sheen. It comes in white, black, gold, and fuschia.

The Trivia part is...
"Which god is represented by winged sandals? That would be Hermes! Hermes was the messenger of the gods, which is why he needed to be quick on his feet, hence the winged sandals. Greeks also considered him the patron of travelers and would sacrifice to him before any major trips. So, what about Nike? Nike was the winged goddess of victory (how badass is that?). Girlfriend flew through battlefields rewarding those who won battles. She's associated with strength, speed, and victory. No wonder Nike named themselves after her!"

Lion King

I bought this elephant necklace yesterday in Tango. Took a quick second thought because it had a bit of a Safari-ish/Lion King/Mombasa feel but decided it was a keeper in the end. Will the zoo hunt me down?

Forget the shoes

This is a Ninewest advertisement from a magazine where I chose to ignore the shoes and couldn't help but notice the sequined off-shoulder top and white hot pants! Cute! I have yet to find a similar top... Hhmmm...

My one demin pick

This is my fave denim pick from all the stuff I've seen throughout summer. It triples as a top, a vest and something over a dress too!

I found it a bit steep when I first saw it, it's actually on sale already. =)

Top: Mango, P3,250; Sale price P 2,490

... let's wait for the 2nd slash!!
